I’ve heard there’s been some great Australian domain name sales recently, including CriminalRecordCheck.com.au which sold for $5,500 by Domains.com.au(.)
Through the growing Domainer network, I’ve been told there are some very large one-word generic name sales happening right now, and we hope to be able to report more on them over the coming weeks.
There are some large, healthy offers currently being considered for Mate.com.au and Cashflow.com.au too.
However, today I’d like to report I sold my three-letter acronym domain VAS.com.au for $21,666 last week to a successful “van racking” company in Sydney.
The company were very pleasant to deal with and understood exactly what they wanted. I initially asked for a higher price and they haggled me down to a price we could all agree was fair.
The whole transaction took about 48 hours.
Congratulations to VAS.com.au and it’s clear you understand the value and importance of a great, short and succinct domain name. I wish you every success for your business in the future.
Great sale for a 3L Rob and a smart pick-up for the purchaser. Will be a great upgrade for their business.

Wealthy.com.au sold for $27,500.
I think the buyer got a great deal in this case. I can’t wait to see how they develop it.
