Domain Sales Update October ’21

Domainer has received mixed reports about the state of the current Australian domain name market. From ten domain investors we reached out to today, seven said they had very little requests to buy their domains over the past six weeks, while three said they had many requests and had made some big sales.

At the top of our list again, since the last update, was Activate Ventures who recently sold the following domain names:

  • More.com.au – $31,000
  • UC.com.au – $23,100
  • Meditate.com.au $16,500

Well done on these strong sales, Activate. Great domain names that we’re sure the new owners will be utilising and developing into monsters.

Unfortunately, DBR can’t disclose active domain name sales at the moment, due to ongoing negotiations, but we can report we are currently helping an unprecedented amount of buyers looking to upgrade to their dream domain name.

Of the ten active domain names we are currently trying to acquire on behalf of clients, three of them are in the process of settling and the amounts for each range from $12,000 to $36,000 and each are one-word domain names between five and six characters.

I also personally have two domain names of my own that are in the beginnings of negotiation, one is for a 4-letter with a bid for $10,000 and another contemplating paying $30,000 for a 5-letter. I’ll share these sales if I decide to let them go.

We hope to be able to share some more public sales soon, and believe transparency of domain name sales is very important for the reputation of this industry and those who are a part of it, but in the meantime many thanks to Activate for sharing their awesome sales!

If anyone else has any good recent sales to report, and can prove it by emailing us the invoice and the details, we’d love to share them with the community.

Over the next few weeks, be sure to lookout for three incredible one-word domain names that we are publicly listing for sale, exclusively through DBR, on this very website. All three of them are top-shelf domains.

Stay tuned and happy domain investing!

I would’ve got them to pay More.com.au

Yes I can confirm there have been sales in recent weeks and a noticeable uptick in inbounds the since Sydney’s “Freedom Day” this week.
