drop catcher expired expiring domain names policy delete

Endorse DropCatcher.com.au to become a Registrar

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Australia’s domain name system has been labelled as “critical infrastructure” by the Australian Government. The domain name system is governed by auDA (.au Domain Administration) and Registrars.

A Registrar is a company that manages the registration of Australian domain names and must be accredited by auDA. auDA hasn’t approved a new, local, Australian Registrar since 2016. That’s 7 years ago.

Every day, over 1000 Australian domain names become available to the public because they have expired or been deleted. Did you know there is currently only ONE private company that offers an Australia domain “drop catching” service?

It’s time for a new Registrar and Drop Catcher to bring competition back to the daily domain name drop-catching and auction process.

For the past 18 months, Cameron Bell, a born and bred Australian, has been applying to auDA to become a new Registrar and drop catcher but has hit road block after road block at auDA.

Cameron has over 17 years of experience in the domain name industry and deserves a fair go for putting his hand up to launch a second Australian drop catcher and a new local Registrar.

Let’s show the auDA CEO and Board Members that Cameron Bell and his new DropCatcher.com.au Registrar and drop catcher has public support from highly valued Australian businesses, just like yours.

If you would like to show your endorsement for Cameron Bell to launch DropCatcher.com.au as an auDA accredited Registrar, please fill out the form above.

Thank you in advance for your support.
