Last week, insurance giant iSelect dropped the extremely valuable premium domain name LifeInsurance.com.au(.)
Tomorrow, seemingly unbeknownst to their marketing team, iSelect are dropping another valuable domain name; HouseInsurance.com.au(.)
To put things into perspective, in terms of how valuable these types of domain names in these particular industries are worth… REA Group (realestate.com.au) currently own HomeInsurance.com.au(.)
How much will HouseInsurance.com.au sell for?
And then…
Will we be seeing iSelect’s HealthInsurance.com.au domain name dropping next?
I have healthinsurances.com.au if anyone wants to make me a reasonable offer. 🙂
healthinsurances isnt the term used it is “healthinsurance”, not worth as much as the singular, but you never know your luck
That name makes no sense, insurances??
From an SEO perspective it’s just as powerful. With 33,000 searches per month and companies paying $50 per click (that’s per click!) it’s crazy powerful to have a domain name which includes the search phrase so closely. From an SEO perspective, the phrase ‘health insurances’ actually shows the same number of searches as ‘health insurance’. So if you can get onto the first page of results (which you can with this name) – even if you only reach 10th position, you can still get around 2% of that traffic in 10th spot which means you still get 660 clicks per month which would cost $33,000 per month to buy ($400,000 per year in free traffic). And that’s #10 – imagine what you get if you put some effort into your SEO. 🙂

Just go with it Snoopy, it’s like noodle / noodles. The difference is cultural. Respect Rudy’s culture!
Big stuff up. On the one hand there is a rival dominant keyword ‘home insurance’, on the other the market for house insurance / home insurance is much bigger than it is for life insurance.
I think $25k will have been hit already and it will come down to who is bidding. LifeInsurance.com.au was on a Sunday, whereas this will be on a weekday, so anything can happen.
Oops forgot what day it was, yes it’s been that kind of week.
Begs the question, does iSelect “always get it right” when it lets $100,000 domain names expire?
Maybe Officer Rick was in charge:

“Oh boy. Did you say we want to keep this domain name, or have it deleted?”
Via the many disrupted work place conditions over the past few months, COVID-19 may have played a role in some office disruptions overlooking and/or missing important email notices. If that be the case, it would be somewhat an irony that a health insurance company became a COVID-19 victim too.

Q: Were CSC managing these?
Johnson.com.au went for $9,504 via Netfleet aftermarket this week, WhoIs says Braden Johnson, the name of the MD for Johnson Property Group.
Some corporates are asleep at the wheel atm, meanwhile SMEs are making hay
Rudy,
A few of many still available for registration…

CoverSelect_com_au
Cheers!
@BLM maybe I’m not explaining myself well enough. Other than one of them, those names you mention are not ‘keyword dense’ domain names which have any search volume in Google. An exact match domain has a higher chance of ranking on page 1 than those you mention (other than 1).
Insuring My Home – 0 people searching for this @ $0 CPC
Home Insured – 0 people searching for this @ $0 CPC
WhichCover_com_au – 0 people searching for this @ $0 CPC
CoverSelect_com_au – 0 people searching for this @ $0 CPC
Home Insurances is good – 14,800 per month @ $43.40 CPC
Health Insurances is good – 33,000 per month @ $50 CPC
That’s the power of an exact match keyword domain name right there.
How much did this sell for?
